#22. Cory King—Why Relationship Building is Key to Real Estate Success
Realtor, Cory King, from Knoxville, Tennessee shares how relationship-building helped fast-track his success in real estate investing. From working full time in the hospitality industry, to having a successful career in real estate, to now dipping his toes in the luxury space, Cory shares how what he's learned and how he's applied it to accelerate him forward.
“Hi, I'm Cory! I live in Knoxville with my lovely wife Amelia and our son Owen.
As the lead listing agent for the Heart Strong Home Group with Keller Williams Realty in Knoxville, Tennessee I work with a team of motivated professionals who help buyers, sellers, and investors achieve their real estate goals quickly and professionally. I'm always looking for new ways to help and be creative to think outside the box to get things done.
My background includes 15 years in the restaurant industry working as a General Manager of Long Doggers Eateries in Central Florida. In 2009, my real estate journey began when I purchased my first property and quickly "house hacked" with 2 roommates who covered expenses and allowed me to grow quickly. Finding ways to be creative in a down market, I began acquiring vacant lots in established subdivisions at local auctions and started selling them directly to neighbors as a way to make some cash and learn more about the processes.
I still have a passion for "off-market deals" and love learning and sharing my knowledge with others. Serving on our brokerage's Agent Leadership Council has given me insight into a missing need for expert investment advice in our market. Our team mission is to deliver homeownership to everyone possible and make millionaires out of ordinary people. If there's any way I can be of service I'm always happy to help.”
