Who we are
Founded May 2023
Welcome! GRID Blacksburg is a real estate investment community based in Blacksburg, VA—built by investors for investors. We are a group of real people doing real deals in our local marketplace.
Our core mission is to connect to, learn from, and collaborate with like-minded people interested in growing their businesses and creating long-term wealth.
We welcome investors of all experience levels. We are life-long learners and believe everyone has value to share.
How it works
We meet once a month, 12 months a year, on the same day, week, and time of the month.
Each month we cover a different investing topic in the lifecycle of an investor—ranging from wholesaling to rehabbing to becoming a bank through private lending.
Our meetings are not sales pitches.
They are opportunities for us to dive deep into a real estate topic, connect with local experts in our marketplace, and build long-term relationships with other doers.

Meet the GRID Community Leader
About Cody
Born and raised in the New River Valley, Cody brings a lot to the table in the local real estate market, mixing hometown heart with local expertise. As an Alumnus of Virginia Tech with a degree in Marketing and Finance, Cody has a vast knowledge of the community and a deep understanding of the local market and its people.
His passion has always been in real estate investing, growing his portfolio from 1 unit to 16 units in just a matter of 5 years. Starting in single-family long-term rentals and gradually building his portfolio to include rehabbing, commercial development, and multifamily value add syndications. He also owns and manages a local brokerage and property management company through Gravity Real Estate Group, Inc.
A father himself, Cody has profound love and respect for family and friends, which pushes him to provide our community with the knowledge it takes to succeed and excellent service through real estate.
