I am an equity partner and founder of three KW brokerage offices (Capitol Hill, Dupont, and Upper NW).

I run a sales team that has sold over $100,000,000 in properties for each of the last 7 years (2013-2019) and I have been the top agent in Keller Williams Capitol Properties for just about every year since 2010 or so.

For many years, I have dedicated some of my best time in energy to supporting social entrepreneurs, through work on boards and committees and also through my philanthropic efforts.

Currently, I am on the board of DKT International, a global nonprofit organization that works on family pet planning, mostly in the developing world. It has revenues of approximately $200 million per year. I am also a board trustee Of Connecticut College, from which I graduated in 1988 with a degree in political science. In addition, I am on the board of STABLE, A nonprofit that provides studio spaces to up-and-coming artists in DC at subsidized rates, and those lasso hosts multiple events to educate working artists in the public about the work of artists, careers in art, and local art scene.

For 12 years, I chaired the board of trustees for the Higher Achievement Program, a mentoring nonprofit targeting at-risk youth, for which I am currently a member of its Presidents Council, which is a giving circle of high net worth individuals, and also it’s real estate task force.

As a result of my work with my team to resurrect Higher Achievement, back in the 1990s, I was awarded the “Unsung Hero“ award by the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region. During my years as board chair, the organization experienced stratospheric growth, expanded to other cities, and was recognized by the Washington Post as one of the best managed nonprofit organizations locally for a number of years.

Previously, I also served on the board of directors of EL Haynes Public charter school and was a member of the Board of Directors for the DC Chapter of the National Urban League.

I have been investing in real estate since 1997. I have become an active investor in many other areas as well, which informs my perspective.

Even before I became a realtor, I was an evangelist around Buy N Hold investing and am very proud to have helped many clients, families, and fellow Realtors grasp the wealth-building power of real estate. I am very very proud of the cumulative net worth I have helped many people realize, especially those who come from modest backgrounds and/or are public servants, school teachers, and working in nonprofits.

I am now working on my second condo development, which is a seven-unit project in Adams Morgan. Over the last several years, I have increasingly started to represent developers, which is enabled me to expand my network and my perspective.

As a result of my interest in real estate investing, I’ve had to broaden my perspective about all of the various investment options and vehicles that exist. This knowledge and perspective provide a basis for comparison when discussing real estate investment options with clients who might consider a wide range of investments. It is important to be able to speak to someone about other options that they could consider, from my own experience. For example, I have invested in equities, start-up companies, whole life insurance, 401(k)s, IRAs, 529‘s, etc.

I am a member of several LLCs that own real estate brokerage offices. I am a member of a title services joint venture, and, as previously mentioned, a member of LLCs that own real estate brokerage offices.
